About the Role
As an Investment Analyst, you will support investment teams by conducting market research, analysing investment performance, assessing funds and managers, and providing insights that support investment decision-making and portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Research & Analysis
- Analyse investment funds, ETFs, managed portfolios, and other investment products
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on investment managers
- Evaluate market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities
- Support portfolio construction and investment strategy development
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor investment performance and risk metrics
- Prepare reports on portfolio returns and performance drivers
- Analyse investment data and provide insights to portfolio managers
- Assist with benchmarking and competitor analysis
ESG & Sustainability Analysis
- Assess ESG risks and opportunities across investment portfolios
- Research sustainable investment funds and managers
- Support responsible investment and sustainability initiatives
- Prepare ESG reporting and compliance documentation
Risk & Compliance Support
- Ensure investment activities comply with regulations and internal policies
- Support governance, oversight, and risk management processes
- Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and compliance reviews
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with portfolio managers, product teams, risk teams, and technology teams
- Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Support investment projects and strategic initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to interpret financial and investment data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CFA studies or qualification is highly regarded
- Experience in investment research, fund research, or portfolio analysis preferred
- Knowledge of ETFs, managed funds, and listed securities
- Experience with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Python, R, or investment analytics tools is an advantage
Pay: From $7,500.00 per month
