About us:
Our Oral Health Services provide a range of free dental services to eligible people living in Central Queensland. We provide services for adults in community dental clinics and children in mobile dental vans or school clinics.
About the role:
Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Preparation of equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures including knowledge and understanding of the stages within a dental procedure and the ability to pre-plan and adapt as treatment proceeds.
Accurate and proficient assistance and adaptation to an operator where required to provide four-handed dentistry, retraction and evacuation techniques and application of rubber dam.
Maintain adequate levels of materials and instruments within designated clinical areas, by restocking as necessary, ordering of clinical consumable and stock control in the clinic, to ensure that dental treatment is provided effectively and efficiently.
About you:
Demonstrated high level of skill and knowledge in all aspects of dental assisting, including infection control, and clinical support for all relevant age groups.
Demonstrated high level ability to prioritise and organise work load and where appropriate to use initiative.
Knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge in the Information System for Oral Health (ISOH) and to utilise the system in capturing patient information and scheduling appointments.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and consult with all level of staff and patients, to manage conflict and to deal with sensitive and confidential matters appropriately.
What we offer:
An hourly rate between $39.47 - $42.89 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
