Job Summary:
The Machine operator is responsible for line start ups, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in meat slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling processes. The role ensures production lines run efficiently while meeting food safety, quality, and hygiene standards. The operator works to reduce downtime, maintain equipment performance, and support daily production targets.
- Operate and monitor meat slicing, thermo packing, sealing, labeling, ink-jet printing, metal detector , checkweigher and conveyor equipment.
- Perform routine checks to ensure machines are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out minor repairs or adjustments.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce machine breakdown and production delays
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Report machine faults, breakdowns, and maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and cleaning as per production need.
- Maintain production records, downtime reports, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Keep work areas clean and ensure equipment is sanitized according to food industry standards.
