Austin racing is seeking a foreman /senior ground staff to join our team.
Preferably has previous experience as a foreman or head stable hand, however there is plenty of room for progression for the right person.
Your role:
- Oversee daily stable operations, including;
- Supervising staff and delegating workloads
- Overseeing horse care and presentation
- Monitoring horse health and reporting any issues
- Checking over / saddling horses
- Attending races/trials
- Liaising with vets/farriers
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in a senior stable role, strong horse handling/knowledge and leadership, excellent communication / organisational skills, and high attention to detail and care.
The right applicant will work closely with the trainer and racing manager and lead a team of staff to ensure the best possible care and potential outcomes for our horses.
