The Opportunity:
We are seeking a high-calibre Financial Accountant to join our finance team in an ASX-listed environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to make their first move from external audit into industry, where you will gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, ASX requirements, AASB accounting standards and the broader operations of a listed company.
We are particularly interested in candidates coming from a Big 4 or reputable mid-tier audit firm who have developed a strong technical accounting foundation and are ready to apply that experience in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Month End Accounting
- Prepare/post monthly journals.

Complete month-end close activities.

Maintain General Ledger integrity.

Prepare accruals and prepayments.

Prepare supporting schedules.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts.

Investigate reconciling items.
-
Resolve outstanding issues promptly.
-
Maintain reconciliation documentation.
Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting
- Maintain the fixed asset registers
-
Process asset additions, disposals and transfers.
- Calculate depreciation.
-
Ensure capital expenditure is appropriately capitalised.
Statutory Reporting Support
- Support the preparation of the Group's annual and half-year financial statements.

Assist with consolidation and group reporting.

Support the year-end and half-year external audit processes.

Prepare disclosure support schedules.
Financial Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards and accounting policies.

Follow internal control procedures.

Maintain accurate supporting documentation.

Assist in implementation of process improvements.
Tax & Compliance Support
- Prepare information required for BAS, income tax and FBT reporting.

Support tax advisors with information requests.

Assist with regulatory reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes.

Assist with automation initiatives.

Contribute to documentation of standard operating procedures.
The successful candidate will have:
- Commenced, or be eligible to commence, the CA Program — completion of CA is desirable but not essential.

2-5 years financial accounting experience – ideal for the first time mover.
