- Chairside dental assisting
- Clinical note-taking during appointments
- Preparing surgeries and anticipating the clinician’s needs
- Digital scanning, radiographs and clinical photography
- Sterilisation and infection control
- Surgery preparation and turnaround
- Coordinating patient and appointment flow throughout the day
- Laboratory case organisation
- Stock management and ordering
- Supporting patients and helping them feel comfortable
- Assisting with the general organisation and smooth running of the practice
About you
You will be:
- An experienced Dental Assistant
- Warm, friendly and compassionate
- Organised, reliable and punctual
- Confident working independently within a small team
- Proactive and able to anticipate what needs to happen next
- A clear and professional communicator
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Committed to providing a high standard of patient care
- Looking for a stable, long-term position
What we offer
- A four-day working week
- Predominantly Monday-to-Thursday hours
- An early finish every Thursday
- A long weekend every week
- A close-knit and supportive team
- A calm, modern Melbourne CBD practice
- Ongoing training and professional development
- The opportunity to develop skills in TMD, orofacial pain, oral appliances and sleep dentistry
- A role where your organisation and contribution to the practice are genuinely valued
This position would suit an experienced Dental Assistant who takes pride in keeping the clinical day organised, enjoys building relationships with patients and wants to be an important part of a small practice for the long term.
