About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy general practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage reception, nursing and administrative staff.
- Recruit, train and support team members.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters.
- Ensure accurate Medicare, DVA and private billing.
- Oversee daily banking and financial reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and debt collection.
- Ensure compliance with RACGP standards and accreditation requirements.
- Develop and improve practice systems and workflows.
- Manage stock, equipment and supplier relationships.
- Liaise with doctors, allied health providers and external service providers.
- Prepare reports and monitor practice performance.
- Assist with budgeting and business planning.
- Handle HR matters, including staff performance and disciplinary processes.
- Provide hands-on support at reception when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior medical administration role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare, MBS, DVA and private billing.
- Experience using MedicalDirector and Pracsoft (preferred).
- Strong computer and financial management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $54,007.76 – $130,450.47 per year
