Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Painter to join our professional workshop team. The successful candidate will carry out structural and cosmetic repairs to damaged vehicles, ensuring they are restored to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by removing rough spots, old paint, and imperfections using hand tools and power sanders.
- Smooth and level surfaces through manual and mechanical sanding to ensure an even foundation for paint application.
- Mask and cover areas not to be painted using tape, paper, and protective materials to prevent overspray.
- Select, mix, and colour-match paints to achieve accurate shades and finishes in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Apply primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray-gun equipment, ensuring even coverage and appropriate thickness.
- Sand surfaces between coats to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish and polish completed paintwork to the required gloss level.
- Apply protective coatings and rust-proofing treatments to prevent corrosion and extend vehicle lifespan.
- Perform touch-ups, detailing, and minor artwork or signage painting as required by customer specifications.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, colour consistency, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, spray-gun equipment, and the painting area in clean and safe working condition in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full Australian working rights
Desirable:
- Experience with bus and coach body repairs
- Current Australian driver’s licence

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Panelbeater to join our professional workshop team. The successful candidate will carry out structural and cosmetic repairs to damaged vehicles, ensuring they are restored to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle body panels
- Remove damaged panels and parts using cutting and mechanical tools
- Weld and realign chassis and body structures
- Repair and replace body components, panels, and parts
- Use measuring systems to ensure accuracy of structural repairs
- Apply fillers and perform sanding to achieve a smooth surface
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Collaborate with spray painters and other technicians to complete repairs on schedule
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a qualified panelbeater
- Ability to interpret repair instructions and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, welding, and metal fabrication
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety
