Where you'll be working
Join the Internal Audit Unit based at Cumberland Hospital, supporting Western Sydney Local Health District to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare through strong clinical governance, risk management and continuous improvement. Working alongside experienced audit professionals, you'll partner with executive leaders, clinicians and operational teams to provide independent assurance and practical recommendations that make a real difference to patient outcomes.
Work within a respected Internal Audit team that values integrity, collaboration and innovation.
Partner with senior clinicians, executives and multidisciplinary stakeholders across the District.

What you'll be doing
As the Senior Clinical Auditor and Investigator, you'll provide expert clinical audit and investigation services that strengthen governance, compliance and risk management across the District. You'll lead complex reviews, provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders and contribute to initiatives that enhance healthcare quality and organisational performance.
Lead and deliver clinical internal audits, investigations and special reviews in line with professional standards and organisational priorities.
Develop audit programs, analyse clinical systems and operations, and prepare high-quality reports that drive meaningful improvement.
Provide expert advice on clinical governance, internal controls, risk management, compliance and best practice.
Build strong relationships with clinicians, managers and executives while mentoring colleagues and supporting continuous improvement within the Internal Audit function.
Contribute to the development of audit methodologies, strategic initiatives and organisational change projects.
