The purpose of this role is to safely transport, deliver and collect linen, clinical and non-clinical supplies across the Queensland Health network, ensuring healthcare facilities receive the essential goods and services required to support patient care.
What you'll do
In this role you will operate heavy vehicles to transport healthcare supplies, load and unload vehicles using trolleys, pallets and roll cages, complete scheduled deliveries and collections, maintain accurate vehicle and driving records, undertake vehicle inspections and safety checks, report faults and incidents, comply with Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements, support logistics and freight operations, and provide professional customer service when interacting with healthcare facilities and stakeholders.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
Holds a current Medium Rigid, Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination licence
Has a strong commitment to safety and compliance
Can perform the physical requirements of loading and unloading vehicles
Has sound communication and customer service skills
Is reliable, professional and adaptable to changing schedules and routes
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
