Based in our head office in vibrant Marrickville, we're looking for a friendly, organised and proactive office administrator to join our team. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and wants to be part of a supportive family business.
We understand that life doesn't always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule, so we offer flexibility and are happy to work around school hours and family commitments where possible. This role could be perfect for someone returning to the workforce or looking for a role with genuine work-life balance.
About the Role
You'll work closely with the owner and support various departments to help keep our growing business running smoothly. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role behind the scenes, ensuring everything stays organised and on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and improving ordering processes.
- Stock management to ensure essential supplies are always available.
- General office administration, correspondence and filing.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors.
- Processing and coordinating catering orders.
- Assisting the bookkeeper with accounts and financial administration.
- Supporting payroll processing when required.
- Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating pricing.
- Providing day-to-day support to the owner and management team.
- Assisting with any other reasonable duties appropriate to your experience and position.
About You
- Previous experience in administration, office support or a similar role.
- Experience with Xero (or similar accounting software) is highly regarded.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- A positive, friendly and can-do attitude.
