About the role
This role is based in Hume and Loddon Mallee Region. The Planner supports the Planning portfolio’s statutory responsibilities and helps deliver government planning policies, reforms, and services. Working as part of a team, the role contributes to planning projects, policies, programs, systems, stakeholder relationships, and legislative or regulatory initiatives, while assisting in achieving key project objectives.
The role involves providing advice, identifying and addressing issues, influencing outcomes, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It also supports knowledge sharing, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture, works collaboratively across the organisation to deliver priorities, and promotes culturally safe, inclusive environments free from racism and discrimination.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
-
Progress towards a relevant tertiary qualification in urban planning or a related field.
-
An understanding of government land use planning policies, strategies, and legislation.
-
The ability to work proactively, both independently and collaboratively, to deliver quality outcomes.
