About the role
The Outside School Hours Care, Assistant Centre Director is responsible to:
- Assist the Centre Director in the provision of a high quality outside school hours care (OSHC) service between 90 and 140 primary school children aged 5-12 years during school terms and school holiday care.
- Assume the role and responsibilities of a Responsible person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor.
- Assist the Centre Director to ensure the service meets the National Quality Standard and all requirements of the National Law and Regulations
- Assist the Centre Director to implement an inclusive, innovative and reflective educational program that meets the ‘My Time Our Place’ school age care framework
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families and community
- Contribute to a collaborative teamwork approach and work as an active member within the Children Services team to provide high quality care for all children using the center.

Remuneration
$67,847.07 - $76,582.62 p.a. pro rata + 12% Superannuation (The annual salary is based on 30 hours per week)
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in an outside school hours care centre with children aged 5 – 12 years.
- Working knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate and inclusive OSHC programs; and working knowledge of the ‘My Time Our Place’ school age care framework
- Demonstrated working knowledge of and capacity to apply the current legislation governing OSHC services, including National Quality Standard, National Law and Regulations; OSHC National Standards and NSW child protection legislative requirements.
- Proven leadership and effective staff supervision skills and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork with proven verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Administrative and organisational skills, including computer literacy, and ability to manage rosters, staffing schedules, and compliance requirements effectively.
- Proven ability to apply knowledge and evidence of the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Primary Education or OOSH at Associate Diploma level
- Current first aid certificate; and completion of approved course/s in anaphylaxis and asthma management
- Completion of an approved course in child protection
- Competed National Childsafe Foundation Training.
