Details: Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys using analysis and insight to support effective service delivery across government?
Finance Operations, within Shared Services Finance, is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to provide high‑quality operational reporting, analysis and advice that supports decision‑making across finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt management and banking.
In this role, you will work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders to deliver clear, practical insights that support service performance, financial stewardship and continuous improvement. A key focus of the position is supporting oversight of the Whole of Government Banking Services Agreement, including analysing and reporting on the usage and performance of banking products and services across ACT Government.
You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, apply sound professional judgement to complex financial and operational information, and influence outcomes through evidence‑based advice and strong stakeholder relationships.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Relevant experience in operational finance analysis, analytics or business improvement is highly desirable.Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a similar field are highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 22 October 2026 until 21 October 2027 with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months if required.
