Do you want to help create a more inclusive future for healthcare? The Bridging Academia and Community for AOD Curriculum Transformation (BRIDGE) Project is bringing together educators, students and people with lived and living experience to address stigma in health education. Through collaboration, evidence and lived expertise, the project is developing practical resources that will help prepare future health professionals to deliver safe, person-centred and non-stigmatising care.
Who you are
You are a collaborative and values-driven project professional who is passionate about creating positive social impact. An organised self-starter, you enjoy bringing people together, coordinating moving pieces, and turning ideas into practical outcomes.
You understand the importance of listening to diverse perspectives and fostering inclusive, respectful and culturally safe environments. Whether you're building relationships with stakeholders, coordinating project activities, or translating complex information into meaningful resources, you're motivated by work that makes a genuine difference.
What you'll do
As a key member of the BRIDGE Project team, you'll coordinate a range of activities that support the design, development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum resources aimed at addressing stigma within health education. Working closely with educators, students and people with lived and living experience, you'll help ensure their voices and insights shape practical learning tools that can be embedded across health programs.
You'll coordinate project milestones, maintain documentation and reporting, facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, support resource development and testing, and contribute to ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement. Through your work, you'll play an important role in helping prepare future health professionals to deliver person-centred, respectful and non-stigmatising care.
What will help you succeed
Success in this role requires relevant qualifications and experience in project coordination, a combination of strong project management capability and a people-centred approach. Alongside your ability to coordinate complex activities, manage timelines and support curriculum initiatives, you'll bring the communication and interpersonal skills needed to collaborate respectfully with educators, students and people with lived and living experience.
You understand the importance of creating environments where people feel safe, respected, heard and valued. You are able to engage sensitively with people who may have experienced stigma, discrimination or marginalisation, and recognise the importance of lived and living experience expertise in shaping meaningful change. Experience working within trauma-informed, culturally safe, co-design, community-engaged or lived experience-led approaches will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you are committed to fostering inclusive partnerships and ensuring that people with lived and living experience are able to participate confidently and meaningfully in research, consultation and curriculum development activities. Your ability to build trust, maintain respectful relationships and support genuine collaboration will be central to the success of the BRIDGE Project.
