Reporting to the Library Services Manager, you will lead and coordinate the delivery of contemporary, customer-focused services at Cleveland Library, ensuring it remains a dynamic community hub for learning, connection, and creativity. You’ll also contribute to broader library planning, service innovation, and continuous improvement across Redland City’s library network.

You will:
- Lead the delivery of high-quality, responsive, and contemporary library services at Cleveland Library.
- Support, mentor and develop staff to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Support workforce planning, operational excellence and continuous improvement activities.
- Inspire and empower teams to deliver outstanding, community-centred services grounded in innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Local History services, ensuring meaningful access, preservation, and community engagement with Redland City’s heritage collections.
- Drive exceptional customer experiences by managing feedback, resolving complex enquiries and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to library programs, library projects and service improvements across Redland City's library network.
- Strengthen and develop Cleveland Library’s makerspace by building awareness, increasing participation, and encouraging creative community use of this service offering.

You are an experienced and passionate library leader who understands the vital role libraries play in building connected, informed, and resilient communities. You bring strong leadership capability and proven experience managing teams in a public library. You are confident working in a dynamic setting, balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking. With a strong focus on customer experience, you lead with integrity, empathy, and clarity, building trusted relationships and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
You will be expected to work Saturdays as part of a rotating roster.

Eligibility:
- Possession of a degree that provides eligibility for professional membership (Associateship) of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- You'll have, or be willing to obtain prior to appointment, a current Working with Children Paid Blue Card.
- You'll be available to work Saturdays as part of a rotating roster.
