Phoenix Source & Select is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a leading national transport and logistics company based in Cavan, SA.
This position offers consistent Monday to Friday work and is ideal for candidates looking to secure ongoing employment within a fast paced freight environment.
Shift Details:
- Monday to Friday
- 5:00am – 10:00am
- $33.22 per hour
About the Role:
Working within a busy transport depot, you will play a key role in ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded, and processed safely and efficiently. This position involves operating a long-tyne forklift to load and unload trailers, sort freight, and assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Due to the nature of the transport industry, there may be occasions where manual handling and hand unloading of freight is required. The role suits candidates who enjoy working in a physically active environment and can work efficiently under time sensitive deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a long-tyne forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading trailers and linehaul vehicles
- Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
- Manual handling of freight when required
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Assisting with general depot operations as directed
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Previous experience operating a forklift within a transport, freight or logistics environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Reliable transport and the ability to commit to five days per week
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
