Head Barista / Café Supervisor – Cohort Coffee Roasters | Bronte Beach
Cohort Coffee Roasters is looking for an experienced Head Barista / Café Supervisor to join us at an exciting beachside location in the heart of the Bronte Beach community.
This is an opportunity for a hospitality professional who loves specialty coffee, thrives under pressure, and enjoys building genuine relationships with customers. We're searching for a strong leader who can own the morning coffee and breakfast rush, maintain exceptional quality standards, and become a familiar face amongst the Bronte locals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the morning coffee and breakfast service
- Dial in espresso and deliver consistently exceptional coffee
- Manage high-volume coffee production during peak periods
- Ensure efficient service while maintaining quality and presentation
- Deliver warm, genuine customer service and build relationships with regulars
- Train, support and motivate team members
- Take orders, operate POS systems and process payments
- Assist with food service, running orders and general floor operations
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional workspace
- Uphold the standards and culture of Cohort Coffee Roasters
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-volume café environment
- Previous Head Barista, Supervisor or leadership experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage 7–8kg+ coffee volumes
- Strong espresso knowledge including grind adjustment, extraction and milk texturing
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, organised and positive during busy service periods
- A hands-on, team-first attitude
- Reliable, punctual and professionally presented
- Someone who is outgoing, personable and excited to become part of the Bronte Beach community
- A genuine passion for specialty coffee and hospitality
