We are looking for an experienced AV Service Technician to join our on-site team at a University in Melbourne's CBD. This is a hands-on service position dealing with a variety of AV technologies.
- Provide support and resolution for end users, managing complex service incidents and requests for desktop computing and audio-visual equipment issues.
- Utilise remote support platforms for monitoring, troubleshooting and proactive support of AV field equipment as well as enterprise devices.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and audits and update internal registers and procedures to reflect the current status of rooms.
- Network configuration of AV devices and troubleshooting of common IT faults.
- Understanding, configuring and operating DSPs, control systems, video-conferencing and unified communication devices.
- Device management in both Microsoft and Apple environments.
- Providing in-room support to other teams within client site for rectification of AV and IT issues.
- Provide professional support and proactive communication to clients.
- Ensure service tickets are closed once satisfactorily completed.
- Update internal and external registers to reflect current status of rooms and asset information.
- Make sure any required reports from your tickets are correct and get sent as required.
• Relevant experience in an AV incident response role • Experience with AMX and Crestron control systems • Basic understanding of AMX and Crestron programming • Experience in DSP programming is desirable • Networking experience/certifications highly desirable. • Customer service experience • Problem solver, will own issues until full resolution. • Able to take a creative approach to situations and problem solving. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail. • Strong organisational, time management & prioritisation skills. • Strong rapport and relationship building skills with both internal staff and customers. • Exceed customer expectations - ability to create wow and delight moments with customers
