About the role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join the team at ACDHospitality PTY LTD in Cootamundra, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests, working as part of a collaborative kitchen team to prepare high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest quality and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Managing station responsibilities and maintaining an organised, clean and efficient workspace
- Plating and presenting dishes attractively and consistently
- Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Monitoring food inventory and reporting stock levels to management
- Following all health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean kitchen environment
- Responding to feedback from senior chefs and continuously improving cooking techniques
- Assisting with menu planning and food preparation activities as required
What we're looking for
- Proven experience working as a Cook in a professional kitchen environment
- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and food safety standards
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent quality in dish presentation
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently during peak service times
- Good physical fitness and stamina for standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards feedback and continuous improvement
- A passion for food and genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences
- Current food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification as required
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as needed
