Ryde East Public School is a Metropolitan North primary school located in North Ryde, with a student enrolment of 325. Our student demographic includes 34% of students who identify as having English as an Additional Language or Dialect, and two Aboriginal students. Ryde East Public School has a strong connection to the local community, supported by an active parent community and a committed Parents and Citizens Association. Visible and collaborative leader who fosters a positive, inclusive school culture supporting wellbeing and maximising opportunities for student voice
Experience building capacity by inspiring and mentoring staff to implement effective teaching and learning, using an evidence-based approach to foster student growth and drive continuous school improvement
Proven ability in using data to lead curriculum implementation, ensuring all learners are challenged and engaged
Highly developed skills in building collaborative partnerships with families and the community with capacity to lead school initiatives that enhance student engagement and promote inclusive participation
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
