Retail Assistant – Kollectables (Matraville, NSW)

Kollectables is launching an exciting new TCG Concept Store in Matraville- a destination built by players, for players.
More than just a retail store, we're creating a community hub where collectors and competitive players can buy, sell, trade, play and connect. From Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball Super to premium accessories, graded cards and collectibles, our mission is to deliver the ultimate trading card game experience.
Located on bustling Bunnerong Road, Matraville, our store is easily accessible via multiple bus routes with direct connections to the CBD and surrounding suburbs.

The Role:
We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and community-focused Retail Assistant to become one of the faces of our new store.
You'll help customers find the products they need, support organised play, assist with tournaments and events, and help create an inclusive, welcoming environment where both new and experienced players feel at home.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to players, collectors and newcomers.
- Build genuine relationships with our local TCG community.
- Assist customers with product recommendations across Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Super and more.
- Process sales accurately using our POS system.
- Receive, unpack and merchandise new products.
- Maintain a clean, organised and engaging retail space.
- Help organise and run tournaments, league nights, pre-release events and other organised play activities.
- Assist with tournament registrations, pairings, reporting and prize support.
- Stay up to date with new releases, formats and the evolving competitive meta.
- Contribute ideas for community events, promotions and social media content.
About You:
- TCG tournament experience is essential. Whether you've competed at local leagues, regionals or other organised events, you understand tournament play and enjoy being part of the competitive community.
- Passionate about one or more major TCGs, including Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Dragon Ball Super.
- Friendly, approachable and confident interacting with customers of all ages and experience levels.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work weekends, evenings and during major product launches or tournament events.
- Retail or customer service experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- A current NSW Driver Licence is advantageous but not essential.

Position: Casual or Part-Time, with the opportunity to grow into a Full-Time role for the right person.
