DriveBuddy is a booking platform that connects learner drivers with independent driving instructors across Australia. We're looking for accredited instructors who want more students without giving up their independence.
You're not an employee and you're not buying into a franchise. You run your own business — we send you students and handle the admin.

- Set your own prices. Full control over your rates, including different pricing for lesson durations, vehicle types, and service areas.
- Set your own hours. Your calendar, your availability. Learners can only book the slots you open.
- No upfront costs, no lock-in contracts, no franchise fees. We take a commission on completed lessons only — if you don't earn, we don't earn.
- Never chase a payment. Learners pay at the time of booking. Late cancellations (within 24 hours) and no-shows? You keep 100% of the lesson fee.
- Keep your existing business. Many instructors use DriveBuddy to fill gaps in their week or reach new suburbs. Work with us alongside your own students.
- We handle the admin. Bookings, payments, scheduling and reminders are all managed through the platform, so you can focus on teaching.
What you'll need
- A current driving instructor licence/accreditation for your state or territory
- A valid Working With Children Check (where required by your state)
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance with at least $20 million public liability cover
- A roadworthy, registered vehicle with dual controls (where required by law)
- An ABN and responsibility for your own tax/GST obligations
- A professional, patient approach to teaching learner drivers
