About the Role
We are seeking experienced, passionate and nurturing casual Creche Customer Service Officers to join our team, located within Beatty Park Leisure Centre.
Our Creche provides a safe and stimulating environment for the children in our care, and as a team member you will be responsible for supervising and interacting with children of various ages. You will provide a high standard of customer service and will have a hands-on role in delivering of a range of activities including arts & crafts, reading, toys and games. You will also be responsible for the safety of our patrons, including general supervision as well as attending to hygiene needs as required.
The Creche is open weekdays from 8.15am – 1.15pm and on Saturdays from 7.30am – 12.15pm. Our ideal candidates will be available to work 2-3 shifts per week (7-13 hours), including Saturdays, with flexibility to also pick up relief/fill-in shifts.
Key duties of the role will include:
- Participate in stimulating and developmentally appropriate play activities that promote children’s emotional, intellectual, physical and social development
- Care, supervise and attend to children while in the creche
- Attend to the personal hygiene of children as needed
- Assist the Team Leader Creche in the daily administrative duties associated with the creche
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer service and comply with the City’s Customer Service Charter at all times
Who We’re Looking For
Candidates will have previous experience working in a creche or childcare setting and will be available to work a range of shifts including Saturday mornings. We are seeking applications from individuals who have the ability to show initiative, build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and display a friendly “can-do” attitude.
A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate are essential. Previous experience working in a leisure centre or local government environment will also be highly regarded.
