Introduction:
Cater Care is seeking a qualified Chef to support kitchen operations at a modern aged care facility in Lake Cathie, NSW.
This daytime position offers a stable alternative to traditional hospitality schedules, with no late nights. Reporting to the Chef Manager, you will oversee bulk meal preparation and drive daily operations to deliver high-quality, nutritious dining experiences.

Salary : $32.13 ph
Roster: Thursday & Friday 6 am - 2 pm
Saturday & Sunday 9 am - 5 pm

Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Leadership: Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely meal services.
- Tailored Dining & Nutrition: Prepare standard menus as well as specialized, texture-modified, and therapeutic diets tailored to residents' needs.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high culinary standards, ensuring food flavor, optimal temperature, and appealing visual presentation.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold rigorous food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards across all shifts.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with staff to foster a productive, positive, and supportive kitchen culture.
Skills and Experiences:
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- Relevant Experience: Proven background in fast-paced kitchens; experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial catering is highly desirable.
- Resident-Focused Approach: Empathetic and dedicated to meeting individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Leadership & Reliability: Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to maintain smooth operations during weekend shifts.
