About the Role
As Manager – Compliance Frameworks and Policies, you will play a critical role in strengthening and embedding BOQ’s Compliance Risk Management Framework (CRMF) across the Group. Working within Line 2 Compliance, you will support the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of frameworks, policies, processes and initiatives that enable the effective identification, assessment and management of compliance and regulatory risks. This role is central to ensuring the bank meets its regulatory obligations while fostering a strong culture of compliance and accountability.
Partnering closely with the Senior Manager Regulatory Obligations and Change and the Senior Manager Compliance Frameworks, you will lead initiatives that enhance key CRMF capabilities, including obligations management, regulatory change, compliance training and compliance control libraries. You will support the development of practical, scalable compliance solutions and drive the consistent application of policies, procedures, controls, monitoring and reporting across the organisation in line with the three lines of defence model.
A key focus of the role will be overseeing and embedding critical compliance policies and standards relating to Conflicts of Interest, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Market Misconduct. You will help maintain key compliance registers, coordinate attestation and control testing activities, and work with stakeholders across the business to ensure compliance risk considerations are effectively integrated into business processes, systems and decision-making.
You will also play an important role in BOQ’s regulatory change management activities, supporting horizon scanning, impact assessments and the translation of regulatory requirements into actionable business outcomes. By partnering with Line 1 Risk and Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Operational Risk and business leaders, you will help build compliance capability, promote a proactive risk culture and ensure the organisation is well positioned to navigate an evolving regulatory environment.
About You
You are an experienced compliance professional with a background in banking or financial services and experience in a Line 2 Compliance role. You have a strong understanding of compliance risk management frameworks, regulatory change, obligations management and policy governance, with the ability to independently drive initiatives that strengthen compliance outcomes while balancing business needs and customer impacts.
Ability to build trusted relationships and influence effectively across all levels of an organisation, from frontline teams through to senior leaders and governance forums. A strong communicator, you can translate complex regulatory and risk matters into clear, practical guidance and are recognised for your stakeholder management, problem-solving ability, attention to detail and sound judgement.
You will bring experience working with risk and compliance frameworks, control assessments and GRC platforms, including obligations and control libraries. Most importantly, you demonstrate a strong commitment to BOQ Group’s values, fostering a positive risk culture and helping protect customers, colleagues and the broader community.
