Van Driver – Job Description
Key Purpose: Safely transport goods, from one location to another while maintaining punctuality, and vehicle care.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive a company van to deliver and collect items according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully and secured properly.
- Follow all road rules and safety regulations, including fatigue management and speed limits.
- Perform basic vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, lights, oil) and report any maintenance issues.
- Keep the van clean and organised, both inside and out.
- Plan efficient routes when required, considering traffic, weather, and delivery priorities.
Skills & Requirements
- Valid South Australian driver’s licence
- Able to drive a manual gearbox vehicle is mandatory
- Good driving record and strong awareness of road safety.
- Ability to lift and carry items (typically 10–15 kg)
- Time‑management and reliability.
- Familiarity with GPS or route‑planning apps.
Optional / Role‑Specific Duties
- Working nights, evenings, and weekends.
- Completing multi‑drop delivery runs
Pay: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
