Integrity Food Co Pty Ltd is a growing Australian manufacturing and e-commerce business operating across multiple food brands and contract manufacturing channels. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial management and compliance functions of the business while contributing to ongoing growth and operational efficiency.
About the Role
The Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, ensuring taxation and statutory compliance, and providing financial information to support business decision-making. The role will work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial controls across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records.
- Preparing and processing journals, accruals, prepayments and month-end accounting adjustments.
- Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and investigating variances.
- Preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts, bank accounts and intercompany transactions.
- Analysing operating costs, inventory costs and business performance to assist management decision-making.
- Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, PAYG and other taxation-related reports in accordance with Australian legislation.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory, taxation and financial reporting obligations.
- Assisting with payroll reconciliation, superannuation obligations and related financial reporting requirements.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and calculating depreciation schedules.
- Preparing financial information and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing accounting systems and procedures and recommending improvements to internal controls and financial processes.
- Providing financial analysis and reports to management to support business planning and growth initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and taxation requirements.
- Experience preparing financial statements, management accounts and taxation reports.
- Strong reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
