Personal Care Worker — Community
If you've worked in care before, you already know the difference between a role that fits your life and one that doesn't. This one is worth a look.
Monday to Friday, starting at 8am and finishing by 5pm, with occasional weekend shifts shared across the team. Twenty-plus hours a week, paid travel between clients, and support from Registered Nurses and a Clinical Manager when you need it. No unpredictable rosters or agency work — just consistent work supporting clients across Melbourne's East and South East.
What the role looks like
You'll visit clients in their own homes, supporting them with personal care, light domestic tasks and shopping so they can stay independent and comfortable. You'll see multiple clients across each shift, travelling between locations in your own vehicle — and you're paid for all of it, including a kilometre allowance between visits.
You're the right person if...
- You hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Community or Individual Care and have experience in a similar role
- You're warm, reliable and the kind of support worker clients genuinely look forward to seeing
- You can commit to 25+ hours per week on a consistent Monday to Friday schedule
- You have your own reliable, fully insured vehicle and are comfortable travelling across the region
You'll also need:
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Manual Handling Certificate (refreshed within the last 12 months)
- Covid-19 vaccination — minimum two doses
