GELATERIA/CAFE ALL-ROUNDER – AMOROSO GELATERIA, SOUTH RIPLEY
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Gelateria All-Rounder to join our friendly team at Amoroso Gelateria in South Ripley. In this versatile position, you'll be the backbone of our gelateria operations, delivering excellent customer service while mastering the art of gelato scooping, espresso-based beverages, food preparation, and gelateria management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scoop and serve premium gelato with attention to presentation and portion control
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient service with product knowledge
- Prepare food items including cheesecakes, tiramisus, toasties, and many more according to our recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic work environment, including regular cleaning of gelato display cases, equipment, and dining areas
- Manage the cash register accurately and process various payment methods
- Stock and rotate inventory, monitoring gelato stock levels and reporting shortages
- Maintain gelato quality by monitoring temperature and freshness
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods and peak seasons
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Contribute to a positive customer experience and help build Amoroso's reputation in the South Ripley community
ABOUT YOU
- Previous café, gelateria, or hospitality experience preferred (but not essential for the right candidate)
- Passion for gelato, premium coffee, and quality desserts.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, welcoming attitude and product knowledge
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with rosters including weekends and seasonal peak times
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, and food hygiene standards
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a gelateria setting
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Pay: From $26.44 per hour
