Purpose
The BDR role is responsible for working collaboratively with HammerTech Account Executives to:
- Prospect into strategic enterprise accounts via cold call, email and social strategies
- Prospect and qualify new verticals including utilities and infrastructure to find new market opportunities for HammerTech
- Adjusting and refining our pitch/value proposition to allow HammerTech to enter new markets
- Drive sales growth and pipeline through setting up meetings for Account Executives with prospective clients
Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments, identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings with Account Executives

What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing, business or a related field
- Successful completion of coursework in business development techniques, marketing, and communication may be advantageous
- Experience in SaaS business development in construction or related industry
- Experience working with Salesforce/Outreach/Gong or equivalent CRM is desired
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent client services skills and the capacity to easily build rapport and establish relationships with prospects and clients
- Excellent listening skills and the capacity to probe and clarify to get a real sense of customer's needs
- Analytical problem-solver
- Capacity to work effectively as part of a high performing team
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to meet weekly targets and key performance indicators
- Proven initiative and a competitive drive

Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate prospective client needs in new verticals by researching industries to identify new leads
- Work with an assigned set of named Enterprise Accounts to generate high value pipeline
- Act as first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
- Support Account Executives on outbound campaigns and lead generating efforts into designated accounts and verticals
- Monitor, attend and lead meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-ups with Account Executives. Where necessary, be able to conduct high level product demonstrations.
- Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and business development openings
- Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments
- Closely monitor existing HammerTech customers to identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings to progress such expansion
- Present product information to customers once needs are identified
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure the company's goals and targets are met
