About us
The Unley Swimming Centre is a leading outdoor swimming facility located in Forestville. Proudly owned and operated by the City of Unley for residents and the wider metropolitan area, the facility consists of an 8 lane heated 50m pool, junior pool, toddlers pool, shaded lawns, café and operates an extended season for 9 months of the year.
About the role
We are seeking casual Pool Attendants who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patrons while at the Centre. You will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment, carry out lifeguarding duties in accordance with supervision guidelines, and administer first aid as required. Applicants must be prepared to work in an environment with an expectation of high-level customer service satisfaction.
Availability Requirements
- Availability to work a range of shifts across weekdays and weekends
- Flexibility to support operational needs across the season
Essential Requirements
- Current Pool Lifeguard Award certification
- Current Provide First Aid certification
- Current Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check
- Current Reporting Harm, Abuse and Neglect Certification
- Proven experience within the aquatics industry in a relevant role
Desirable Attributes / Qualifications
- Ability to work across multiple areas within the centre
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification
- Swimming Pool Plant Operator Certificate
- Experience in pool supervision and/or supervision of staff
- Food handling and safety certification
