About Us
Cubetown is an immersive active gaming experience where your body becomes the controller.
Across our interactive challenge rooms, players run, climb, throw, react, think and compete through games designed to make movement feel like play.
After building our first Cubetown in Melbourne and continuing to develop the concept in Perth, we’re now creating our newest and most ambitious venue in Adelaide.
We’re a small but diverse hands-on team, with experience ranging across game development, technology, operations, customer experience, marketing, business and strategy. Our goal is to introduce more people to active gaming and create places where technology can encourage Australians to rediscover both the joys of play, as well as reconnecting with friends and family.
In hiring, we look for people who buy into our vision and want to help make it a reality - in return, we repay that commitment with time spent on our team's professional development to make sure there's a life after Cubetown.
About the Role
As a Game Master, you’ll help run the full customer experience and day-to-day operation of the venue.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Welcoming customers and checking them in
- Briefing players on gameplay and safety
- Supporting general sessions, parties and group events
- Responding to bookings and customer enquiries
- Operating the POS and processing sales
- Opening and closing the venue
- Resetting, cleaning and maintaining the space
- Troubleshooting basic game or operational issues
- Working independently and as part of a small team
- Assisting with social media content creation
Experience Required
We place a lot of value on fit and values - therefore we are open to both entry-level candidates looking for their first gig, as well as experienced applicants who may be looking to take their next step in the Amusement and Recreation Industry.
This is also why the wage range on this job posting may appear to be quite large.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Reliable and comfortable working independently
- Honest and proactive in their communication
- Willing to take initiative and solve problems
- Adaptable when plans or processes change
- Excited by what we’re building
Transferable experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, recreation, events or entertainment is helpful, but attitude and dependability are what we will rely upon to make our final decisions.
What to Expect
Cubetown Adelaide is a new venue, so the opening period will be exciting, fast-moving and occasionally unpredictable.
Processes will evolve, unexpected issues will come up, and everyone will need to help where required. In return, the opening team will both be empowered to make crucial day-to-day decisions and be given a genuine opportunity to influence how Cubetown grows and evolves.
What We Offer
- Free play and discounted sessions for friends and family
- Training and team-building before opening
- Experience across customer service, events and venue operations
- Opportunities to develop new skills as the business grows
- The chance to help shape a new venue from the beginning
How to Apply
Please submit:

We’re planning to interview between 15 and 24 August, followed by training before opening. We’re currently working towards a soft launch in early to mid-September, so some flexibility around the final start date will be appreciated.
