Our company, Forever Shining, is a family-owned and operated business based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia. We are a designer and manufacturer of personalised memorials and a selection of architectural creations. We are currently seeking to employ a skilled and experienced Application Programmer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant must possess the equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree in Computing, Design, or Information Technology, or of similar field. The successful applicant must also have at least 12 months of relevant employment experience working within the memorial, cemetery, headstone, plaque or related monument industry. This experience is crucial because the role involves design and development of 3D memorial customisation application, adhering to various strict requirements which include cemetery rules, memorial product specifications, inscription requirements, artwork restrictions, and layout limitations.
Having relevant employment experience working with 3D engine development, cross-platform optimisation, IDE integration, 3D scanning, Blender 3D, LightWave 3D, and NextEngine 3D Scanner will be highly regarded.
The main duties to be carried out by the successful candidate include, but not limited to, the following:
- Analyse business requirements and user need to design, develop, implement, and maintain software applications and web-based systems for the memorial industry.
- Develop, modify, test, and maintain the company's proprietary Design Your Own (DYO) online memorial design platform.
- Participate in the design and development of an AI-powered 3D memorial customisation application, including software architecture, feature implementation, integration, and optimisation.
- Write, review, and maintain application code using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system errors through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct software verification, validation, and quality assurance testing to ensure applications meet functional and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain front-end components, user interfaces, and web applications to provide an effective and intuitive customer experience.
- Integrate software applications with databases, APIs, third-party services, and business systems where required.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, software specifications, testing procedures, and system support materials.
- Monitor application performance and implement enhancements to improve functionality, security, scalability, and usability.
- Collaborate with management, designers, and production teams to translate business and customer requirements into software solutions.
The offer salary is AUD 90,000 per annum plus Superannuation.
