About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Network Administrator to join our team and help manage, maintain and optimise our enterprise network infrastructure, production equipment connectivity and IT systems. This role will see you supporting a broad range of network technologies while contributing to infrastructure projects, operational support, incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, students and delivery partners to ensure network services remain secure, resilient and aligned to business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organisation's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, internet connectivity and associated hardware and software to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot network connections for production equipment and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations, including digital printers, cutters, laser cutting and engraving systems.
- Optimise connectivity between production equipment, design systems, servers, storage platforms and business applications.
- Manage network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, access controls and security monitoring.
- Monitor network performance, availability and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving infrastructure issues.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365, cloud services, Windows-based systems, ERP systems, file servers and associated IT infrastructure, including system administration, upgrades, performance optimisation, backup, recovery and security management.
- Maintain server and storage infrastructure, ensuring data security, availability and integrity through effective backup, access control and antivirus protection.
- Support technology improvement projects, including system integration, network expansion and infrastructure upgrades.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution of complex network and system issues.
- Maintain IT documentation, network records and operational procedures.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of network administration, IT infrastructure management or a similar technical role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022), cloud platforms, network infrastructure, LAN/WAN environments and network security.
- Experience managing network hardware, servers, backups, virtualization and system monitoring solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and infrastructure issues independently.
- Strong understanding of network optimization, security practices and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document technical solutions and work independently.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Pay: $82,000.00 – $92,000.00 per year
