CNC Operators | Bayswater, WA
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Operators to join a well-established manufacturing workshop producing roller and conveyor components for the mining sector. The role is focused on precision spindle machining and repeat production runs, rather than large one-off components.
This is a hands-on operator role suited to someone who values accuracy, consistency, and a well-run workshop.
About the role
You’ll be operating CNC mills and lathes machining spindles and rotational components used in mining equipment. The work involves setting up jobs, running production batches, checking tolerances, and making adjustments to maintain consistent quality.
The workshop predominantly runs Mori Seiki CNC lathes, including multi-turret machines.
Set up and operate CNC lathes for spindle production
Machine roller and conveyor components to specification
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Measure, inspect, and hold tight tolerances
Monitor tooling, offsets, and machine performance
Contribute to safe, efficient workshop operations
You’ll have experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a production or manufacturing environment. You’re comfortable with repeat runs, working to drawings, and maintaining quality across high-volume work.
Experience machining spindles, shafts, or similar components is highly regarded. Mori Seiki experience is advantageous but not essential.
What we are looking for
Experience operating 2 and 3 turret lathe machines (highly desirable)
Experience with FANUC controls
Understanding of G-Code and M-Code
Ability to develop a program for shaft machining
The Offer
$55–$65/hr + penalties + Super
Day shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Evening shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
38 hours per week with some overtime est. 5 hours per week
