At David Jones, we are creating a place where people can thrive. As one of Australia's most iconic retailers, we bring together heritage, innovation and a shared ambition to inspire Like No Other. Over the last few years, the business has undergone significant transformation through the delivery of Vision 25, and we are now focused on the next phase of our evolution through Inspire 30.
Our People & Culture function is central to that — helping shape the experiences, leadership capability, workplace strategy and operating model that enable our people and business to evolve, adapt and thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations specialist and strong people leader to join a fast-paced, dynamic team at a pivotal time. If you are energised by complexity, commercially minded and passionate about leading a high-performing workplace relations practice, this is a role where you can make a real impact.
As Manager – Workplace Relations, you will lead the David Jones workplace and industrial relations function, driving fair, consistent and commercially sound outcomes across the business. You will partner closely with senior leaders and People Business Partners to provide strategic and tactical advice on enterprise bargaining, employment risk, workforce engagement and complex people matters.
Reporting to the GM Partnering & Workplace Relations, and leading a small team of ER Advisors, this is an enterprise role with high autonomy to lead a proactive workplace relations function for David Jones.
Providing expert advice on complex ER matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, disputes and terminations.
Building ER/IR capability across the broader People & Culture team and leadership cohort.
