Salary: $71,550 to $75,000 per year commensurate with skills and experience, plus superannuation.
As part of our dedicated team you will report to the Retail Supervisor and business owner to provide embroidery services of purchased goods.
You will be responsible for the below duties:
- daily operation of Barudan embroidery machine - training provided
- process daily production orders
- threading machines, inserting bobbins and hoop garments correctly
- changing needles and adjusting sewing machine settings
- finishing items by cutting excess material and threads
- inspecting stitching for defects and notifying repair mechanics of machine malfunctions
- performing basic maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication of machines
- confer with staff or customer to obtain any specific instructions on embroidery orders
- assist with Direct To Film printing.
- maintain a fast turnaround time without sacrificing job quality
- keep work area tidy and organised
- Comply with WHS procedures.
Requirements
- Certificate II or III in Apparel, fashion and textiles with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (20 hours per week), or at least one year of full-time work experience as a sewing machinist.
- Secondary education or equivalent.
- Computer skills for design and embroidery machine program.
- High level of verbal and written communication.
Other information
