Your New Role
As an Investment Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of investment transactions within our Investment Operations team.
Initially, this role is being offered as a 12 month contract with the view for extension or potential permanency.
What you'll do:
- Trade Matching: Accurately match trades across multiple asset classes using platforms such as CTM, MarkitWire, and TradeServ
- Exception Management: Identify, investigate, and resolve trade discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties
- Reconciliations: Perform daily cash and position reconciliations between internal systems and custodians, escalating and resolving breaks promptly
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and other stakeholders to support trade life-cycle activities
- Process Improvement: Leverage systems like GTSS and Aladdin to enhance workflow efficiency and contribute to automation and process refinement
How do you exceed our expectations?
You are a detail-oriented and proactive professional with at least two years’ experience in investment operations or trade support, preferably within asset management, superannuation, or custodial services.
You will have:
- 2+ years’ experience in investment operations or a similar role
- Strong understanding of trade life-cycle and financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with GTSS, Aladdin, CTM, MarkitWire, or TradeServ
- Availability to work required shift times (7am-3pm /10am -7pm Monday to Friday)
