Retail Sales Assistant – Brisbane Vintage Market
Brisbane | 25–35 hours per week
Brisbane Vintage Market is looking for confident, reliable and motivated Retail Sales Assistants to join our Brisbane team. This role could also be merged with a content focused role if that interests you.
We're a fast-growing vintage clothing business with a strong focus on creating stores that are fun to shop, well presented and backed by genuinely great customer service.
We're looking for people who want consistent hours and are ready to become a dependable part of our core store team.
The Role
This is a hands-on retail position where you'll be responsible for delivering a great customer experience while keeping the store running smoothly and looking its best.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, confident and proactive customer service
- Approaching and assisting customers rather than waiting to be asked
- Processing sales and operating Square POS
- Working towards individual and store sales targets
- Maintaining high standards of store presentation
- Restocking, merchandising and rotating stock
- Keeping racks organised, sized and shop-ready
- Opening and closing the store when rostered
- Cash handling and completing opening/closing procedures
- Assisting with visual merchandising and store changes
- Helping create an energetic and welcoming environment for customers
- Supporting the wider team during busy trading periods
- Opportunity to work across multiple locations

- Wants approximately 25–35 hours of work each week
- Has strong and consistent availability
- Is available to work weekdays and weekends
- Understands that rostered shifts are a commitment
- Is punctual and dependable
- Has a strong work ethic and doesn't need to be constantly supervised
- Is confident talking to customers and making sales
- Takes initiative when something needs to be done
- Works quickly and efficiently during busy periods
- Takes pride in keeping a store organised and well presented
- Communicates clearly with managers and other team members
- Is comfortable being accountable for their own performance
- Brings positive energy to work
Previous retail or sales experience is highly regarded, but attitude, reliability and confidence are just as important to us.
An interest in vintage clothing, fashion and streetwear is a bonus.
Availability
We're specifically looking for team members who can make this role a significant and consistent part of their working week.
Applicants should have availability across a combination of weekdays and weekends. Regular weekend availability is encouraged but not required.
If you're studying or have another job, that's completely fine, provided you can still commit to consistent availability and your agreed roster.
