We're excited to open expressions of interest for a Cook Champion to support our NSW Region!
As our Cook Champion, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional food experience for children, while championing consistency, quality, and nutritional excellence across multiple campuses.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing nutritious morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea in line with the OAC Nutrition Guide
- Creating allergy-safe and dietary-appropriate meals, with clear and accurate labelling
- Upholding outstanding hygiene, safety and kitchen presentation
- Managing food storage, ordering and inventory with care and efficiency
- Role modelling excellence in food preparation and supporting consistency across teams
- Helping ensure our children enjoy positive food experiences every day
We're looking for someone who has
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Cookery/Hospitality
- Experience in Early Childhood or Aged Care (preferred but not essential)
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Strong understanding of allergy management and safe food preparation
- Availability 4-5 days per week, Monday-Friday
- A genuine passion for the role food plays in children's development
