About the role
The Production Supervisor role is a Full-Time position, based at Coopers Plains, QLD. Reporting to Manufacturing Manager, you'll be part of a team that is responsible for manufacturing high quality plaster products safely.
In this role, you will:
- Be the main point of contact to ensure the automated plaster mill is running smoothly.
- Be required to do tasks which include taking samples, testing products, monitoring HMI's, walk around (look, listed, feel), roll out World Class Manufacturing, and LEAN principals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through supporting our rollout of World Class Manufacturing, encouraging team input and feedback to optimise operational processes.
- Collaborate with Managers and Production employees as well as other parts of the areas including Process improvement and Engineers.
- Have excellent people management and problem-solving skills as technical support will be required.
- Assist in the Supervision of the production team on a rotating shift roster (Morning 6am-2pm/Afternoon 2pm-10pm and Night 10pm-6am) -24/hr x 5 days a week operation.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Recent Engineering graduate, ideally with at least 1 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
