About the Role
We're looking for a qualified dental hygienist, oral health therapist, or dental assistant to join our team as a mobile intraoral scanning technician. In this role, you'll travel to partner surgeries to capture digital impressions using intraoral scanning technology.
This is a flexible, contract-based role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working across multiple clinics rather than being based in a single practice.
What You'll Do
- Travel to client practices to perform intraoral scans on patients, following a scan protocol.
- Operate intraoral scanning equipment (e.g. iTero, 3Shape TRIOS, Medit, or similar) to capture high-quality full-arch and bite.
- Review scans for accuracy and completeness before submission, retaking where necessary
- Upload and manage scan files through the appropriate software/cloud platform
- Maintain accurate records of appointments, scans completed, and any patient notes.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols at every site
- Communicate professionally with patients
- Manage your own scheduling and travel logistics between appointments
- Provide feedback on scan quality issues or equipment faults promptly
About You
Essential:
- Current registration/qualification as a Dental Hygienist, Oral Health Therapist, or Dental Assistant (with relevant state/national registration where applicable)
- Comfortable working chairside and directly with patients
- Confident using digital dental technology, or willing to be trained on scanning equipment
- Valid driver's licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage/travel compensated)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you'll be representing our brand at every practice you visit
- Excellent time management and reliability; able to manage a multi-site daily schedule.
Desirable:
- Prior experience with intraoral scanners (iTero, TRIOS, Medit, CEREC, or similar)
- Experience working across multiple practices or in a mobile/locum capacity
- Familiarity with digital workflows.
What We Offer
- Flexible contract hours — choose the days/appointments that suit your schedule
- Competitive per-scan or hourly contract rate
- Full training provided on our scanning systems and software
- Ongoing support from our clinical and operations team
- Opportunity to work across a broad network of practices.
Pay: From $140.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
