The Role
Our Support Workers provide individualised support across a range of settings, including:
- Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Community and individual supports
- Assistance with daily living and personal care
- Community access and participation
- Appointments, shopping and social activities
- Supporting clients to develop independence and life skills
- Overnight and sleepover supports where required
- Working alongside families, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders
No two days are the same. You may be supporting someone in their home in the morning, assisting another person to access the community during the day, or working within one of our SIL homes supporting clients to achieve their individual goals.
We are looking for people who:
- Are genuinely person-centred and understand that every person has different goals, preferences and support needs
- Are reliable, flexible and committed to providing high-quality support
- Have a positive attitude and enjoy helping people achieve greater independence
- Are comfortable working across SIL and community-based environments
- Have availability for a range of shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings and overnight supports
- Can build positive professional relationships with clients, families and support teams
- Are confident working independently while also contributing to a broader support team
- Have a genuine interest in making a difference within the Dubbo and Central West community
Checks
All staff must have current a NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC, First Aid & CPR, and covid certification. A driver's license and car is required.
