Seasonal Junior Workshop Assistant – Trim FX

Trim FX is an automotive and marine trimming business specialising in quality upholstery, interiors and custom trim work.
We’re looking for a Seasonal Junior Workshop Assistant to join our team from now through to Christmas and help keep the workshop running smoothly during our busy period.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to be part of a busy workshop environment.
The Role
As a Workshop Assistant, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Assisting our upholsterers and trimmers with workshop tasks
- Preparing materials, tools and jobs
- Cleaning and organising the workshop
- Moving and handling materials and vehicle components
- Helping with the preparation and removal of upholstery and trim
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- General workshop and labouring duties
- Assisting the team wherever needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Practical and enjoys hands-on work
- Physically capable of working in a busy workshop
- Able to follow instructions
- Happy doing a variety of general duties
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Interested in automotive, marine or trades work
No previous upholstery experience is required. We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
This is a great short-term opportunity to gain experience in an automotive and marine workshop, learn new skills and work alongside experienced tradespeople.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
