About the Role
As the Business Manager for Childrenswear you’ll take full ownership of the end-to-end performance of the Childrenswear category , driving both short-term results and long-term growth. You’ll lead a high-performing team and work cross-functionally to deliver a compelling product range that resonates with our customers and sets us apart in market.
This is a role for a true leader someone who can confidently translate strategy into strong commercial outcomes, while bringing others on the journey. You will inspire, coach and elevate your team to deliver at their best, foster a high-performance culture, and build capability for long-term success. With a sharp commercial lens and a customer-first mindset, you will balance creativity with disciplined execution, making informed decisions that drive sales, profit, and market growth. You’ll thrive in a large-scale, fast-moving retail environment, managing complexity with ease, navigating competing priorities, and delivering results at pace without compromising on quality or customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver the overall category strategy , ensuring alignment to brand vision, customer needs, and market trends
Own and drive financial performance , including sales, margin, and profit outcomes
Develop and execute product and range strategies that strengthen our value, quality, and style proposition
Identify opportunities to grow market share and improve profitability through innovation and strategic initiatives
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged team , building capability and succession pipelines
Partner with key stakeholders across Buying, Planning, Design, Supply Chain and Marketing to deliver cohesive outcomes
Drive sourcing strategies and vendor partnerships to maximise value and efficiency
Ensure seamless execution across critical path, product development, and launch timelines
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a large-scale apparel retailer
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales and profit growth
Ability to think strategically while executing at pace in a high-volume environment
Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams
Deep understanding of customer, product, and market dynamics
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across large, complex organisations
A passion for delivering quality, value-driven product that customers love
