POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position is to provide a high level of technical and administrative support services to the Development
and Land Use section to ensure the delivery of essential services and information to both internal and
external clients. This position will provide accurate and timely technical and administrative support in
relation to the preparation of correspondence, memorandums, meetings/conferences, minutes, reports
and other Development and Land Use functions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or demonstrated experience in an administrative
support officer position.
- Demonstrated written communication skills including the ability to summarise a document,
report and prepare correspondence in an accurate and concise manner
- Demonstrated sound computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth
and QLD Imagery.
- Experience in interpreting building plans, surveying plans and other forms
of regulatory plans.
- Demonstrated efficient customer service, organisational and time management skills including
the ability to work autonomously.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following areas and includes but is not limited to:
Organisational Administration
- Provide a high level of administrative support for the Development and Land Use Section.
- Compile outgoing and internal correspondence and other documentation as required in a
professional, timely, efficient manner and in accordance with applicable legislation, Acts and
Council policies.
- Coordinate and manage the distribution of incoming/outgoing correspondence, notifications,
emails and other documentation as required in a professional, timely, efficient manner and in
accordance with applicable legislation and Acts and Council policies.
