About the opportunity
The Nourish Co. By Hollie James is an established dietetic practice located across Sydney. We have a strong referral base and work closely alongside GPs, specialists and allied health teams. We also consult for aged care facilities, childcare centres, gyms and the like.
We pride ourselves on providing evidence-based guidance to better our client’s health and wellbeing in a warm, supportive and collaborative environment. We ensure the whole person is heard and considered, with their goals and concerns at the forefront. Encouraging and upskilling clients to have a healthy relationship with food, relieve stress around making food choices and working to build sustainable, practical changes is key.
Services offered are varied and across the lifespan, ranging from weight loss and chronic disease management, to food intolerance, performance goals, NDIS clients and more.
About the role
This position is suitable for a contractor dietitian experienced in working in private practice, starting with 1-2 days per week initially, depending on availability and experience. Saturdays are included as a required day of work.
Option of additional clinical administrative or social media based work for the right applicant too, if wishing to increase days of work.
The clinics are established and with an existing referral base, however new clinics/days may eventually be offered to the practitioner over time. Sessions are held via both telehealth and in-person consultations.
If suitable, the opportunity to host education sessions, cooking demonstrations and complete community visits may be offered.
Essential Criteria
- Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary university
- Current or eligibility for Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with the Dietitian's Association of Australia
- First Aid & CPR Certification (desirable)
- Current ABN (desirable)
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
- Eligibility for a Medicare Provider Number
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in improving the wellbeing of our clients
- High level written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
- High level time management skills and work efficiency
- High level interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and reliability
- Willingness to provide telehealth consultations as required by clients
- Willingness and ability to travel to and between varied locations
- Commitment to on-going professional development in the areas that support our clients
- Previous private practice experience preferred
