BDS MECHANICAL - WORKSHOP MANAGER
BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our Arundel-based Gold Coast operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, privately owned, and growing organisation in a key leadership role focused on driving safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day workshop operations, including team management, resource allocation, inventory control, and contract administration, while building strong client relationships and supporting ongoing business growth.

About you:
- Management experience essential
- Trade qualified Diesel fitter/Diesel mechanic/LV Mechanic preferred but not essential
- Experience with automotive workshops a bonus
- Strong communication skills
- Good people management skills
- Proven record for leading a successful team
- Ability to manage all aspects of the business effectively
- Ability to lead continuous improvement and WH&S
- Proficient in the computer skills
- Ability to drive business growth, cultivate new opportunities
- Maintain positive customer relationships
The Position:
- Day-to-day running of a mechanical business
Job Planning & Execution
- Job planning including customer liaison
- Assist in opening and closing job cards
- Job tracking & reporting
- Estimating and quoting
Client Relations
- Ability to deal with internal and external clients
Team Leadership & Performance
- Management of staff performance
- Workshop safety management
- Quality control and management
- Willing to be hands-on and not afraid to be on the tools
