About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, Contracts: SSN-AUKUS, the Contracts Administrator plays a key role in supporting commercial activities for the SSN-AUKUS Build Program. This position provides both commercial and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of contract and commercial outcomes across the program.
Working as part of the Commercial Team, you will contribute to a broad range of activities, including drafting commercial documents, correspondence and reports, maintaining accurate commercial data, and supporting contract administration for key agreements. You will assist in coordinating the preparation and approval of contracts and quotations, ensuring compliance with internal governance requirements, including ASC Board delegations.
This is a dynamic role offering exposure to complex commercial environments, where you will also support the delivery of broader commercial initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across the function.
This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the delivery of commercial outcomes through a range of contract administration, governance and coordination activities, including:
- Support the Commercial Team in delivering contract administration, governance and stakeholder management activities across the SSN-AUKUS Build Program.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining contract administration processes, governance frameworks and supporting documentation to effectively manage commercial contracts.
- Provide guidance and support to both commercial and program teams to ensure understanding of, and compliance with, contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial data, ensuring integrity and accessibility across systems and registers.
- Undertake contract administration activities, including supporting the management of the Head Contract and associated Tasking Statements.
- Maintain and update Contract Management registers and related documentation to support contract tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and coordinate formal correspondence, including managing distribution and maintaining accurate records for prescribed contracts.
- Support the ongoing administration and management of current and existing agreements.
- Deliver assigned activities while working collaboratively with ASC, the Commonwealth and AUKUS partners in a complex and dynamic environment.
About you
- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce or a legal discipline is desirable, with commercial contract knowledge highly regarded, or equivalent experience in a commercial environment.
- Relevant experience in contracts administration, including developing processes, resolving issues and applying contract management best practice.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience supporting bids and tender processes.
- Demonstrated experience working within complex project environments.
- Experience in commercial data management and reporting.
- Understanding of commercial governance processes and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
